Sport dans la Ville: 2023 New York Marathon
Sport dans la Ville is France’s leading non-profit organization serving a diverse community of children and young people living in low-income neighborhoods.
Our mission is to empower young people with values and behavior to foster their chances to succeed in life. To do so, our leverage is sport.
In 2016, Sport dans la Ville has been selected to contribute to Legacy Program of Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics Games. In this context, we took strong commitments to maximize the impact of the Games in underprivileged neighborhoods.
One commitment is the organization of a Youth Sports Festival in 2024. It will be an exceptional international event bringing 600 young people together (300 from all over the world and 300 from Sport dans la Ville).
This Festival will be a gathering full of dreams and joy for young people worldwide. We plan to greet 80 delegations including youth from our sister organizations all around the word.
On March 23rd, 2023, Sport dans la Ville has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 5.
6 runners will have the chance to represent the organization and fundraise for the Youth Sports Festival in 2024.
