Sport dans la Ville is France’s leading non-profit organization serving a diverse community of children and young people living in low-income neighborhoods.

Our mission is to empower young people with values and behavior to foster their chances to succeed in life. To do so, our leverage is sport.

Since its inception, Sport dans la Ville has believed in the value and power of travelling abroad and expanding our students’ horizons providing them with unparalleled experiences. Initially, exchange programs were established with Gol de Letra in Brazil and DREAM in New York City, both of which are organizations with similar missions to Sport in the City. Since then, more than 1,000 American, Brazilian, and French youths have benefited from these extraordinary experiences.

In 2019, Sport dans la Ville reinforced these exchange programs and created a Young Talents Program implemented in all cities in which the organization operates. This three-step program offers participants, 18 to 25, the opportunity to have concrete international experiences that will transform their lives and create a more diverse world of work.

Here are the exchange programs outcomes:

• 120 French participants per year – 44% young women/56% young men.
• 100 participants from abroad per year.
• Invaluable experience which enriches the participant and helps him/her build his/her resume.
• 93% of the participants will be more motivated to further pursue his/her education.
• 91% of the participants will feel more confident when engaging in new experiences.

On March 28^th, 2024, Sport dans la Ville has been named an Official Charity Partner for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, November 3.

6 runners will have the chance to represent the organization and fundraise for Sport dans la Ville’s Young Talents program.
